Never Going Underground march print
Never Going Underground march print
Never Going Underground was the slogan of the campaign against Section 28, which prohibited the "promotion" of homosexuality in schools and local authorities.
In February 1988, an estimated 25,000 people gathered in Manchester's Albert Square to protest. This print commemorates the event which was the UK's biggest demonstration for LGBT+ rights.
Created by artist Kate Charlesworth, the print is inspired by her book Sensible Footwear: A Girl's Guide, a graphic novel exploring UK lesbian history since the 1950s.
Limited print run of 100 copies.
Dimensions: unframed A3 print, approx 230mm x 307mm
